• I’ve tried both the Coraline theme by Automattic and MistyLook (I gave up before trying any others). In both cases, the Plugins drop-down menu simply doesn’t appear in the Main Navigation Menu. In older WP versions (I haven’t been on WP for almost two years) it was between Appearance and Users, but now it just ain’t there.

Do I need to upgrade this blog in order to install plugins?

  • There’s no Plugins dropdown menu. It’s on the side menu in your Admin area. Is this a self-hosted WordPress site or a free wordpress.com blog?

    Thanks for responding, esmi.

Sorry – “drop down menu” is the wrong term. I know the Plugins should be on the side menu in my Admin area. By “drop-down” I meant that it would look like “Pages” or “Posts” with an arrow next to it and sub-menu items below.

This is a free wordpress.com blog.

You cannot install plugins on wordpress.com sites.

Also these forums are for self-hosted WordPress sites only, so please try asking future questions on http://en.forums.wordpress.com/
