If you do that, you should do the database *last*. Otherwise, when you restore it before the plugins, it finds that the plugins aren’t there, so it de-activates them to stop the site from crashing due to missing plugins. * Re-run the database restore again now, and all should be well. And some users didn’t like that. * The manual – [https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-restore-my-backup-from-a-site-that-is-still-installedrunning/](https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-do-i-restore-my-backup-from-a-site-that-is-still-installedrunning/)– has always said (at least since 2013, I believe) – to restore the database last, if you are restoring things in parts, because of these (and other) issues.
