# Plugins and PHP 5

 * With the end of life of php 4 coming up i was thinking i’d love to take the leap
   and recode all my plugins to take advantage of the better PHP 5 classes.
    However,
   I’d be interested to hear from other plugin writers to see if they will be doing
   the same. I’d also be interested to here from WordPress users in general to see
   what version of PHP they are running on.

 * I’d guess a good many people are using PHP5 but the WordPress developers show
   no inclination to move the WordPress core to PHP5 yet.
