Support » Plugin: Multisite Enhancements » Plugins activated not shown as active on subsites

    Hi Frank,

I just came across an issue on a multisite network which was solved by disabling the multisite enhancements plugin – sorry but I don’t have the time at present to investigate this further but I thought I would post here so you are aware of it.

When I activate a plugin on a subsite, the plugin does not show as being activated, and the plugin is not loaded, despite the entry in the subsite’s options table for ‘active_plugins’ indicating that the plugin is active for the subsite.

I searched for the string ‘active_plugins’ in all the site files, then targeted all plugins which contain this string and which were network activated. I went through disabling the plugins one by one, and when I disabled Multisite Enhancem, ents the behaviour went back to normal (plugin shows as activated on the subsite, and loads).

  • Sorry – scratch that. The site was in wpengine and I think their object cache is the culprit.
