 * To install a plugin I have to go to ” Upload the plugin to the wp-content/plugins
folder in your WordPress directory online”. I have searched through Presentation
   >themes>theme editor> and cannot locate the wp plugsins directory. Do I have
to go to my host site and then the sql database? or where do I find the directory
when I go the my host site?

 * The plugin subdirectory is within the files of your install, not the WP admin.
You have to log into the back of what your hoster provides (ie CPanel, Ensim,
Direct Admin) and look for something called File Manager or something simular.

 * Even simpler: use a FTP program to upload files to your site.
