[Plugin:Auto More Tag] How to add "more" tag after EACH defined limit (6 posts)

    Hello everybody,

I tried "Auto More Tag" plugin to my website in order to insert a more tag after each 200 words (for example). So, if the content contains 1000 words, I'll obtain 5 "more" tags for this example.

I think it's possible to modify this auto more tag plugin in this way but I'm not very comfortable with PHP functions...

So if someone can help me, I'd be very grateful ;)

what would be the purpose of that?
any other code would only check for the first 'more tag' in the content.

can you describe what you are trying to achieve?

I would to use a function (http://www.estrade.ca/dev/wordpress-entree-plusieurs-colonnes.html) to insert each content item separated by <!-More-> then in a <DIV> to display all on multiple columns.

I doubt that the wordpress core functions will generate more than one <span id="more... even if the <!--more--> tag appears more than once in the content.

have you tried and succeeded doing this manually?

(if not, there is no point trying to modify the plugin.)

the following are totally untested search results ideas only:
possibly rewrite the plugin to use the <!--nextpage--> tag
for use with a post column plugin such as:

    or add <!-column-->
    for use with:

    Thanks for your response.

I already tried these plugins but they don't insert tags automatically.

Perhaps, it's possible to generate another tag with AutoMoreTag plugin and repeat the script after each defined-limit !?

When I wrote Auto More Tag, I intended it simply to insert a single more tag. But, I created a premium plugin that inserts as many Next page tags as you want.

You can find that here: http://www.binpress.com/app/wordpress-automation-suite/670?ad=1229
