I can’t think of a method off the top of my head.
You can have a link pointing to the gallery page in Zenphoto (by tweaking the options in the ZP popup) but the lightbox script wouldn’t know where to get the images from, in that case.
I’m not even sure lightbox scripts normally support that out of the box. Have you got any example?

That’s what I was wondering as well. I’m not sure how the lightbox script would find the images without displaying them. Perhaps ZPP could attach the images to a particular post via the media gallery table without displaying them.
I’m currently doing something similar (not attaching images, but displaying a text link) with a Gallery2 plugin that authenticates using ‘Gallery Remote’, but I didn’t write the plugin. Plugin pulls the images in and displays them on a plugin options page. A custom field on the post level designates the exact album.
Here is a live example of that functionality.
Might be a cool feature for a future release. I use a text link often since we embed gallery links into posts that tend to have a lot of bulk already and we are linking to somewhat large albums.

I see your point, but I think that would be rather complicated to implement in ZPP.
You might want to experiment a bit with javascript though: maybe there’s a way of using a click on a textual link to trigger the opening of a lightbox gallery that refers to images hidden via css.
That is, you may insert a ZPP gallery which works with lightbox as usual, but hide it and move the triggering click to a different element (e.g. a link).
Not sure if it’s sensible or even feasible, but it might be worth an experiment 😉
