Trying to help…
1) To me, Posts… But I don’t use YARPP on pages.
2) Sometimes, creating the post. If this don’t trigger, any update make duplicates. Sometimes, a new revision create triples…
3) I don’t use Akismet, so, I really don’t think this is the cause. I have Akismet in my plugin list, but not active.
For the moment, my YARPP is active only for testing and I’m using another plugin with my Related Post Slider. This way, my users don’t have problems with the duple suggestions, and I don’t have to give up just yet (and I can see when the duplicates happens and will see when YARPP is stable again 🙂 ) . Is kinda a suggestion to the folks with the same problem and who don’t want give up. 🙂
So far, so good. Since the problem started, this is the longest period of time (and work, 8 or 10 articles added and edited) with no duplicates. I’m really hopeful that has been solved! 🙂 🙂 🙂

PS: the last 24 hours, I tested the plugin making numerous edits, additions, changes of tag, forcing it in every way. 100% satisfactory result.

Hmmm, it looks like multiple category pages have the same similar posts, and it looks like there are still some duplicate similar post suggestion, although the number is significantly lower. You can check out an example here:

@valandilearfalas, can you make sure in phpmyadmin, say, that the primary key on wp_yarpp_related_cache is (related_ID, ID)?
Alternatively, if you can get a dump of the table and send it to me (yarpp@mitcho.com), I can tell based on that.
Also, I just pushed one more beta, beta 4… if some of you guys want to try this out, it shouldn’t affect this particular bug, but… just in case… would love to get feedback on it to make sure it works for everyone. 🙂

@valandilearfalas, YARPP 3.2.1 has already been released, a couple weeks ago. Please see if that fixes the issue. It should.

I am already using 3.2.1 and if you see this post, it still has duplicate related articles:

The all have the same related articles, and out of the 5 that are displayed, 2 are duplicates.

@valandilearfalas hmm, very odd… Please try dropping (not just truncating) the yarpp_related_cache table in your database. That should trigger YARPP to recreate it with the new fix. Hopefully that’ll fix it once and for all.
