[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Parent Template Support

  • This is not a question but more of a feature request. I run child / parent themes and needed to modify your plugin to use the parent theme directory for a YARP template.

I was hoping you could give the user an option to use the child or parent theme folder for the template.

My modification might be a good option as well (though it isn’t as flexible for users that want to use the child theme folder).

Using the “TEMPLATEPATH” constant instead of “STYLESHEETPATH” will direct to the parent theme. If only one theme is used, it still works by pointing to the only theme folder available.

This is helpful for people using your plugin for theme functionality, because if someone adds a child theme, the plugin reverts back to the default template without the above options (essentially breaking the parent template).

Thanks for making a great plugin!
