I’ve been using the plugin on my site http://www.engvid.com for a long time with no problems. I love it.

I just changed the number of related posts I want the plugin to retreive from 4 to 6, but YARPP doesn’t seem to notice this. All of the existing posts only show the same 4 posts that were calculated for them earlier. The only way I can get 6 posts to show is if I edit a post (any editing seems to trigger it). But as I have 150 posts, it’s not realistic for me to manually do that. How can I force the plugin to rebuild the cache from scratch? I think this used to be an option, but I see many mentions of you removing it. Unfortunately, though, the on-the-fly caching you have implemented now doesn’t seem to think it needs to rebuild the cache for posts that it should.

Please help! My layout kind of depends on the correct number of related posts being displayed. It doesn’t break without them, but it doesn’t look good either.

Oh, I am using the latest version of the plugin, and have tried deactivating and reactivating. PHP5 and MySQL5.

Well, it looks like it just took about an hour and things were working with the updated number of posts. Maybe you can bring back the message that it is re-building the cache, so we know things are churning in the background?

@blankpoint – I completely removed these manual cache options as I made it so it’s now “transparent”… the idea is that, if you had never seen the previous (3.0.x) versions, you hopefully will never even wonder whether the cache needs to be fixed and whether it is… YARPP should take care of this for you. 🙂
