  • Resolved Alexander Gieg

I’m using a theme that provides an YARPP template plus child theme support. While customizing such a child theme of mine then, I noticed YARPP had switched back to the its non-templated output. I went to its options, I no theme template was shown, meaning YARPP isn’t child/parent theme-aware.

The workaround was simple enough: copying the php file from the main theme to the child theme folder made it appear in YARPP’s options. But it’d be very nice to have YARPP automatically recognize when a child theme is active and, if an YARPP template isn’t available in it, checked with the parent whether it provides one then listing this one if its there.

  • This is a known issue and I hope to get to adding this support in the future. Thanks!

    Hi Michael,
Thanks for such an awesome plugin, since recent updates I started liking and loving this more.

I have current issue on hand, regarding above question.

I am also using Parent / Child Theme relationship, and I would like it to work like “Alexander” suggested, I also had a look at other question posts,

    like Other similar post

    and found no solution yet?????

I would be happy to know about it.

No, this support has not been added into YARPP yet. Please copy your YARPP templates into your active theme folder.
