I just installed yarpp into a WP 3.0 installation, activated it just fine, went into settings and received this error message.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare textbox() (previously declared in…(then a long directory string is shown here)
Tom, posting that “long directory string” would actually be very helpful. Most likely this is a plugin incompatibility.
Thanks for the response. Here is the entire error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare textbox() (previously declared in /home/voip/public_html/wp-content/themes/magazine-basic/functions.php:341) in /home/voip/public_html/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/options.php on line 129
Tom, is this a common theme? This is the first time I’ve heard of this issue. It’s something that’s probably more appropriate to fix on my end, but I’m going to leave that for my next release. I’ve made a ticket for it:
In the mean time, you could see whether you’re actually using that textbox() function from your theme or not. Try commenting out the function definition for textbox() in that Magazine Basic file.
Yes, it’s a common theme, it’s Magazine Basic.
I’ll try your suggestion.
@tmalcolm I just ask because this is the first time I’ve heard this issue reported.
I’m having the exact same problem with Magazine Premium.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare textbox() (previously declared in /home/razzbot1/public_html/dailypokerfix.com/wp-content/themes/magazine-premium/functions.php:924) in /home/razzbot1/public_html/dailypokerfix.com/wp-content/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/options.php on line 129
I just fixed this, and you can try it out in this new beta:
I hope to push this out as version 3.1.9 soon.
Thanks, I’ll give it a try and let you know if it works.
Worked like a charm. Super easy to set up, etc., etc. Thanks for the awesome plugin!
