i’m facing exactly the same problem at indiebirdie.ru. So unfortunately had to switch it off for a while.
using WordPress 3.3.1
Ya, I also deactivated it and error fixed.
But we need a proper solution.
Got this error too after the upgrade:
Warning: strtolower() expects parameter 1 to be string, object given in wp-includes/formatting.php on line 805
Same here. I hope it will be fixed soon 🙂
Thanks all for your reports. Was this displayed on your posts or in the admin area?
Also, in case any of you know off the top of your head: what version of PHP are you running on your servers?
Thanks for looking into it Michael!
Not quite sure about the PHP version my server is running but I can tell you the error was display in the post, right where the related posts are supposed to be displayed.
Ah!! Nevermind. I believe I’ve identified the issue. Just to check: I believe all of you (a) are calling related_posts() or related_pages() directly from your theme and (b) have the “display results from all post types” option turned on.
Working on a fix now.
(a) and (b) are correct in my case…
I have the same problem.
i use related_entries() in my theme and (b) is correct.
My php version is 5.3
Alright, I believe I’ve resolved the issue. Here’s a new beta (3.5.1b1):
http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/yet-another-related-posts-plugin.3.5.1b1.zip
Please try this version and let me know if that fixes the issue or if you notice anything else. Thank you all!
Thanks, this works for me.
It works for me too, thanks!
Okay. I’ll probably wait for a couple more replies before pushing it as 3.5.1.
Okay… I couldn’t wait, so I just pushed 3.5.1. 😀 Thanks all for your feedback!
