  • Hi all–this is mitcho, the developer of Yet Another Related Posts Plugin, a related posts plugin of rapidly growing popularity.

With the latest development version (essentially version 2.1.3), YARPP has been internationalized and is ready for localization. I already have lined up localizers for the following languages:

    – Japanese (myself)
    – simplified Chinese
    – German
    – Danish

If anyone is bilingual in English and another language and interested in helping with this localization, I would love to hear from you. YARPP is not very text-intensive, currently having 77 gettext-ed strings, long and short. Localizers will of course get a link to their site from within the plugin and in the docs. Please contact me first before starting to translate to claim your language.

    Thank you!

The simpler way would be to include a .pot file in the package and let the translators do their job without your “intervention”. That’s the professional way to do it.

Hm? What “intervention”? I’m only asking to be contacted so I don’t end up with multiple people saying “I finished the Japanese localization!” without any prior notice, which I’ve dealt with before on previous plugins.

Programs like the Codestyling Localization plugin, which I’ve used myself, are making .pot files unnecessary.
