# [Plugin: XML Google Maps] How to ?

 * Hi, wonderful and very useful plugin.. but I have a question:
 * How can I show a map with **directions** (made in google earth) in my site with
   this plugin? KML file does not have any lines of road or waypoints(although I
   don’t need them, just the signed road).

 * Right click the root node of the calculated route in google earth and select “
   save place as”. Then save this file with the ending kml! After that upload this
   file to your post and place a link! It’s easy!

 * I tried but with no result. I save this kml (right click on the root node), upload
   the file, make a link into my post, the map is shown but with no waypoints or
   my path LINE… nothing..
    Where am I wrong?

 * Using 4.2.
    Tried 4.3, I create the KMZ file but in the page i see only the HUD
   of google with no map in it, but when i try saving a KML file, it shows but without
   waypoints and/or road line… 🙁 Tried with IE, OPERA and FF , this last show me
   an error message (when using KMZ): Could not load the file with the GGeoXML Object!
   Check the file, the Google Maps API says that there is an error! Validate your
   links or files with the Validators from [http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com/2008/06/new-service-released-kml-validator.html](http://googlegeodevelopers.blogspot.com/2008/06/new-service-released-kml-validator.html)
   or try enter the URL to your file directly in the search field of [http://maps.google.com](http://maps.google.com)!
 * But I don’t understand what the kml validator is telling me what to do..

   your installation, browser or anything else! Sorry can’t help you!

   in the search field) and press search I have the whole content in it!
