[Plugin: WYSIWYG Widgets] WYSIWYG Widget

  • I finally decided to write to see if I am doing something wrong. I am on WP 3.3.1 and using 4 different themes. The WYSIWYG widget shows up and I can use it like a regular widget. When I first move it to a widget sidebar, I see the editor and can only add in the title. Nothing happens when I try to type in the main area. I have tried posting from work and still nothing. The I try to save it and boom…the editor is forever gone. I can the go back in to the widget but the editor is gone and I have to format my own text.

I end up using the widget when I want to add a photo..for that it is great.

Since I have the issue on all my sites am I was wondering am I doing something wrong or is there an inherent issue…or maybe any known conflicts. Thanks

  • I’ve witnessed this error before when I was quickly testing a blank WordPress install and had the plugin activated among others. I wish I could share how to reproduce the error or even given hint to the root cause—but, unfortunately not. Hopefully the developer will discover this thread and offer a bit of insight. I’ll be following the replies.
