[resolved] [Plugin: Wysija Newsletters] Doesn't work (9 posts)

Installed the plug-in and activated it - that's all that seems to work.

No way to add a new newsletter - no way to modify the one sample newsletter and sending a test eMail doesn't work either.

Honestly this is a waste of your time..............

    Hi Perry,

Unfortunately when making a plugin you cannot test it on all the environments existing in the world. It appears that your site has some specific parameters which we probably didn't test before.

The only reason I see why you shouldn't be able to add a newsletter or modify the default one is because there is a JavaScript conflict with another plugin.
This is the single most reported issue from our users.

Read this article explaining how to detect an issue : http://support.wysija.com/knowledgebase/list-of-plugins-that-may-cause-conflict/

Try that and let me know.

    Wow - thanks.

I use MindValley Super PageMash and I'll deactivate it and try your plug-in again. If it works I can find an alternative to PageMash.

    I'll let you know..........

    That's a great conclusion :)

If you have other problems, don't hesitate to ask for help on our support site : http://support.wysija.com

By the way which plugin was causing conflict with ours ? So that I can update our documentation.

MindValley Super PageMash was the culprit.

I am trying to test setting up a newsletter for new members and a newsletter for new posts - something else seems to prevent the eMails from being sent.

Probably another conflict somewhere - investigating.......

Thanks Perry, I've updated our list of conflictive plugins.
Otherwise concerning your sending problems try different sending methods, and see if it helps.

The best for good deliverability rates is to hook Wysija with a professional SMTP sending service : http://support.wysija.com/knowledgebase/send-with-smtp-when-using-a-professional-sending-provider/

I can update the plugin "PayPal Payment Terminal" when active, doesn't allow you to modify newsletter.
