[Plugin: WPtouch] White page

  • Hi,

I just found this plugin and I’m trying to give it a look and see how it works before move it to the pro level. However I just tried to install the free plugin and got a white page error, so there’s an error with another plugin I think.

Here are my current plugins working on the site:

    All in One SEO Pack
    Google XML Sitemaps
    Quick Adsense
    Smart Youtube
    Use Google Libraries
    WP RSS Images

I’m using WP 3.2.1. Thanks for pointing me to the right direction.

  • FYI… its causing issues with Smart Youtube plugin

Any ideas? Any chance to get some help?

I can’t move forward to the pay plugin without even try the free one. I can’t make it work because of a conflict with other plugin.

    Thanks for your help!

Have you tried enabling the ‘restricted mode’ setting in WPtouch’s settings and see if that works?

WPtouch Pro was re-wrriten quite differently, and often doesn’t suffer from the same issues as the older free version. It also comes with a 7-day money back guarantee, so there’s no risk in giving it a go. Our support team is ready to help you if there is a problem, however.

Hi dalemugford thanks for your answer,

Yes, I tried and it didnt work. There’s a conflict with SmartTube plugin. Do you know a similar plugin that works with yours?

The SmartTube plugin in does this: “Insert YouTube videos in posts, comments and RSS feeds with ease and full customization.”

I’m looking for options, still with no luck.

    Thanks for your help

I think I found it. It has something to do with the memory limit. I need it to set mine at 64M in php.ini, is that a normal/good value?

Thanks, will check this out now

How does this plugin handles the Blackberry Tour (9630) device?

Can this be used with the plugin?

Yues, changing your memory limit to 64MB is fine— in some cases, 128MB is needed. Not for WPtouch, but in general when you have more plugins etc. Most hosts generally set the memory limit really low (8MB) to conserve resources, and its their view most users don’t do enough to arrant allocating more memory. The ‘8MB’ scenario has been around for 4-5 years, and so much has changed with WordPress and websites in general, it’s quite outdated thinking.

The Blackberry tour is not supported, as it runs the older OS4. Blackberrys running OS6 or higher are supported.
