Whenever I post using the mobile theme in my iPhone, it gives me this error:

“There was an error posting your comment. Maybe it was too short?”

I’ve tried to make it longer and even use different names and emails and I still get the error.

I’ve also tried deactivating the plugin and reactivating as well.

The version I’m using is WPTouch 1.9.5.1

    How do I fix this?

  • You may want to test for a conflict with another active plugin that may be causing this error.

To isolate which plugin(s) may be contributing to the trouble, deactivate all except WPtouch from within the WordPress Plugins area, clear your browser cache and local data, then test.

If WPtouch functions well, you may then enable the rest of your plugins one at a time, repeating the process, until you can identify which is/are causing the problem.

I deactivated every plugin except for WPTouch and I’m still getting that error.

Is there a way I could debug what’s causing the error?

It seems you’ve uncovered a bug in the latest version of WPtouch. We have noted it for addressing asap. In the meantime, you may want to reinstall the previous version of WPtouch available here:

Awesome. Just installed WPTouch 1.9.42 and it works now.

    Thanks for the support.
