  • Hi,

Adding an ad unit above the header is not currently supported. WPtouch 1.9.x displays the ad unit below the title area in your single post pages.

WPtouch Pro includes more options. It allows you to display the ad directly below the header or in the footer area. You can also enable your ads on all pages.

The iPad theme includes custom ad support as well.

Thanks for the response. So there isn’t anywhere in any of the PHP files where I can insert my tag, not via the admin settings?

You can do that by adding your code in template file itself. However, your changes will be overwritten each time you update the plugin.

That’s ok, as long as I can keep adding it.
Can you direct me as to which file to add the tag into? I tried a few places but didn’t have any success.

    Any pointers?

Sure. First, remember that in the free version of WPtouch, ads are only set to appear on posts. You’ll find <?php wptouch_include_ads(); ?> in single.php (/plugins/wptouch/themes/default/single.php).

You may move that call anywhere you like. Be aware of your ad network’s terms of use and that your changes will be overwritten when you update your WPtouch installation.
