[Plugin: wpstats] can't change the api key

  • i downloaded the wpstats zip file
i uploaded it via the dashboard
i activated it after uploading it
i get a dashboard ‘red’ message that says wp stats needs an api key
i then entered the wrong api key
i used my wp dot com api key instead of my wp dot org api key
so now i’m on a page that says to make sure it’s the correct api key since it knows it’s for a dot com user and gives me the option to change it if it’s incorrect via a link with the code

    http://blogURL/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=wpstats&action=reset&_wpnonce=70055be7f4

    clicking that link does nothing

    that is my problem

  • i have not yet done the ‘add blog to wordpress.com account’ option that is the only other think on the page

i have deactivated and deleted the wpstats plugin

i have reinstalled the plugin and now it doesn’t give me a chance to enter the api key

apparently the api key i entered is stored outside of the plugin somewhere

    is this location known?

Having the same problem here: I dig around in the WP install’s mysql database and found a mention of my erroneous key… how i don’t know well enough what i’m doing, so i wasn’t able to save my replacement w/ the key I want it to have.

anyone have an insight on this?
    thanks,
    ‘Jj
