# [Plugin: WPML] Problems with menu link URL

 * I’m using WPML to make my site multi-language but i have a problem with my top
   Menu links.
    I have my Home Page linked on a Menu link, when i switch the language
   the text of the Menu link change but not the URL (so it links back to the main
   site language). The translated page IS in a different URL, but the Menu link 
   doesn’t “update” itself. How to make the url change?
 * PS: I’m using a custom theme.

 * Well it seems that the issue is to set statics pages for home page and articles.
   
   But i need to do like that.. since i want my Home page not the wordpress one..
   And also there’s another issue… i can’t put permalinks that are in different 
   path with the same name. I mean, if i have my italian page in [http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/blog](http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/blog)
   i can’t have the english translation in [http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/en/blog](http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/en/blog),
   wordpress renames the italian permalink in [http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/blog-2](http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/blog-2).
   Why?

 * Also for some reason now if i open permalink [http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/en](http://www.smjert.altervista.org/portale/en)
   where my english Welcome page is, it doesn’t open the Welcome page but one article
   of my blog -.-.

 * In the WP Admin Panel, go to the Menu sub-panel and create a translated version
   of the main menue. There you can change the link for the Home Entry (using a 
   custom link widget)
