  • Dear Support,

I’m trying to find out how to translate the Gallery settings (Manage Gallery) in the NextGEN plugin (i.e. Title, Description) using WMPL.

Can you please tell me if there is a way to translate those strings using WMPL?

Thank you very much in advance!

WPML 2.0 supports translation for Admin texts.

Have a look at the language configuration files documentation for how to build it.

Thank you Amir for your rapid answer!
When will WMPL 2.0 be available to install as there is the following warning message?

“This is a BETA version. Don’t think about installing it on live sites and don’t upgrade anything from WPML 1.8.3 to this version.”

We’re working on it as fast as we can, but you should test the beta version (on a test site) and see if it lets you translate NextGen.

    Dear Amir,
Thank you for getting in touch again. I wish you and your team the best of luck and patience in the development of this wonderful plugin.
I will test the beta version and give you a feedback on the result on this thread.
If you need my help regarding the development of this plugin, feel free to ask.
    Have a nice day!

    Hi Amir,

I still don’t know how to translate the contents (text / strings) of the “Manage Gallery” in the NextGen Gallery plugin, specifically the contents of the “Title” and “Desciption”.
In other words the contents of the “wp_ngg_gallery” table of the NextGen Gallery.

What information do I need to include in the wpml-config.xml file? I know I have to add a <custom-field> in order to find the propper strings to translate.

Thank you for your help in advance.
