wpmathpub is a WordPress.org plug-in that allows you to display mathematical equations within your posts and comments. A new version was released today – version 1.0.5. It addresses one problem and adds two new features:
One problem resolved in this version:
- HTML entities get created from a few plain text math symbols such as “>” and “<“. In this version the HTML entities are automatically converted back to their correct symbols before generating graphic images from the included phpmathpublisher library.
Two new features added to to this version:
- During install for the first time, one directory must be configured for write access. In this version, write access is tested and assigned automatically. Of course, there is a simply way to disable this feature too.
- Math equations can now be added to blog comments using the same pmath tagging scheme as blog posts
