    Hello,

Our theme has an unusual way of posting thumbnails, and it requires us to use the Custom Excerpt, “image-thumb.” Is there a way we can edit the file so that our new thumbs will display on Facebook?

    Thanks!

If I understand your question right you can edit wpbook/theme/index.php to include the image-thumb variable. This file will work just like a theme outside of Facebook.

As for the thumbnail that shows up on the wall post I’m unsure how Facebook decided which image to use. Always seemed random to me.

It’s actually the first image attached to the blog post.

I’d like to update it to use post thumbnails but haven’t gotten to it yet. (We previously supported older versions which didn’t have post thumbnails, but we’ll drop support for those if we move to post thumbnails)

Ah, that would explain it. Would love to have post thumbnails work in a future update!

Also, thanks for the awesome support (as usual!)

Is there a way to hack WPBook to include the post thumbnail on the Facebook Wall, at least until it is supported?
