    Hi,

This issue has got me beat. Been using WP to Twitter since early days without any major dramas. Recently WP to Twitter stopped working – that is nothing being going to Twitter despite “Check Support” tests coming back positive. That is:

    • Your selected URL shortener does not require testing.
    • WP to Twitter successfully submitted a status update to your primary update service.
    • Your server should run WP to Twitter successfully.

Have done a full uninstall (“jd” options removed from database) followed by fresh installation but still yielding same results.
Have tried with and without shortening service but still yielding same results.

The only thing that I can think of is around the time it stopped working my Twitter account was compromised and I did change my Twitter password. I have since re-installed WP to Twitter and added new Twitter password of course.

I’m now at a total loss as to what might be causing this issue. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Have just made a small donation in an attempt to get some help with my issue.

    Currently running:

    WordPress 2.9.2
    WP to Twitter 2.0.3
    Host: Bluehost
    PHP: 5.2.13
    MySQL: 5.1.45-log
    Apache: 2.2.15

    Regards,

    Robert

This is just a note to mention that Robert and I got the problem resolved – it was an issue with a password containing a special character which was getting escaped, and therefore failing to authorize with the API.

Joe – could you clarify that please?

Was the password his twitter password or his WP user password?

Are you saying that passwords can only be alphanumeric (for WP and Twitter) for the plugin to work?

I’m afraid your post raises more questions than it answers.
