Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble!
Very likely this is due to a change in the default configuration in PHP 5.3 that was done recently. This can unfortunately cause the troubles that you describe, especially in large tables.
Please take a look at http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-cant-saveupdate-long-tables where you can find ideas on this.
Best wishes,
Tobias
Hi Tobias,
I tried various things suggested in those links, including adding a .user.ini file and upping certain limits in php.ini. None worked. I contacted my host and he said ” I do not see any errors from the server side that would cause the plugin to act this way. “
Any suggestions at this point?
Thanks
Hi,
ok, if it is not the “max_input_vars” problem, it could be the Suhosin problem, which is a PHP extension on some servers that prohibits saving large tables.
Please see the following threads for more, including ideas to fix it:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-cannot-save-changes-for-big-table
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-import-file-size-uploading-limit
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-table-reloaded-unable-to-edit-table-data
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-table-reloaded-row-limit
If that also does not help, you might want to switch to the designated successor of WP-Table Reloaded, even though it is still in beta development: The TablePress plugin from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tablepress/
I followed a different approach there, so that these problems should not happen there.
Best wishes,
Tobias
