Support » Plugin: WP-Table Reloaded » [Plugin: WP-Table Reloaded] How can I replace all my tables at once ?

  • Hello there, thank you for the great plugin!
I run 120 league tables and have to be changed once a week. This is a lot of work and time!
My question is, if there is any way to make the updates quicker. Replacing 120 tables is a lot of time and work.
I thought of some ways, if you have any info let me know.
    1. When I import a file, to be saved to the server and linked to it, instead of saving the values into Mysql.
    2. A code that returns the csv file into Mysql.
    3. I used the extension for having php into the table cells. Anything on this?
    4. Having a php code into the shortcode with the ID.

I guess a lot of people may have these questions also.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,

updating many tables at once is not possible unfortunately and likely won’t be in the near future.
This is not something the plugin was designed for, when I had the initial idea. Also, there won’t be a direct connection to a mySQL table.

If you really need to update your tables of and as you also seem to have other requirements, I suggest that you use mySQL tables directly, with a custom access solution to the data.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Thank you for the answer!
To clear my mind, your mean I should make a php script that will produce the Mysql entry right?
Is there any example of this?

    Hi,

yes, instead of using WP-Table Reloaded, you should build a custom PHP/mySQL solution that allows for easier management of your data (especially the update process), and that has a custom displaying routine.
All of this could very well be done as a WordPress plugin which uses Shortcodes or other features. Unfortunately, I don’t have an example for that, sorry.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
