[Resolved] [Plugin: WP-Table Reloaded] connecting table with post

  • Hi,

Thanks for the great plugin and all the work you have done!

I would like to build an extension for the following functionality:

    Setup:
    Each row is a post.
Columns can be assigned to post ID, title, content, and meta keys.

    column 1 – post ID
    column 2 – title
    column 3 – content
    column 4 – meta_key1
    column 5 meta_key2

If the table is saved, after editing the table, the extension updates the correlating posts.

Could you point me in the right direction to build something like this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

this is very likely not possible, or at least do I have no clue on how it could work.
Remember, the plugin is designed to show static data, that was entered in the backend in a table on the frontend, so that one does not have to mess around with HTML code and can use some nice additional management features.
Combining certain things of WordPress (like posts, custom fields, etc.) in a table and then have the table work with those things is just out of scope of the plugin.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias

    Thanks for your respond.

If I figured something out I am happy to share it with you.

    Love your plugin!
