Automatic updating a table (4 posts)

first of all a link to my current website: http://www.phoenixraid.de

As you see it's a blog for a Warcraft raiding group. Yesterday I updated to wordpress 3.0 and from WP-Table to WP-Table Reloaded :) so the design is not final.

I have coded a page that I call "ID-Übersichten". You can visit it under "Über uns" -> "ID-Übersichten". At the moment the table displayed there is neither "WP-Table" nor "WP-Table Reloaded". I wanna change that (Erfolgsübersichten is simular coded - both sides are really ugly at the moment).

The data displayed in "ID-Übersichten" is imported via a cron job from WOW Armory (http://eu.wowarmory.com) into my database. And the data gets deleted every Wednesday 9:00 (automaticly). So it is highly fluctuating. Sometimes I have more Rows... sometimes more cells a.s.o.

    I think that's enough information.

The problem is that I don't have any clue how to automate that by using "WP-Tables Reloaded".

Is there any way to save an "array" or something like that so that it will be saved in "wp-options" -> "wp_table_reloaded_data_1" or something like that?

If you need further information I would be glad to post them in german, cause I'm not good in writing english :)

    Thanks for your help !

    Hi Ramides,

I'll go ahead and answer in English, so that more people can benefit from the answer.
Of course, feel free to email me in German, if you have further question (my address is in the main plugin file).

Automating the data retrieval or storing process is not that trivial unfortunately, especially with an external script outside of WordPress.

Your script (that is called by a cron job) would need to load WordPress to gain access to its functions and the database, e.g. by including wp-load.php. Then you could use WordPress's get_option('wp_table_reloaded_data_1') to load the table (and some more information about it), do your changes and store the table again with update_option(...);.
    Does that make any sense?

    Best wishes,
