Support » Plugins and Hacks » [Plugin: WP Super Cache] WPtouch and SuperCache

  • Can anyone recommend a good way to add support to WPtouch for SuperCache? WPCache requires serving fresh pages for people on the iPhone. With WPcache we can filter out certain user-agent strings, but for some reason we haven’t had much success getting it to work with SuperCache yet. Do you guys recommend using the hooks, or adding some custom .htaccess magic?

    Thanks.

  • Try turning the plugin “half on” and write a supercache plugin that hooks into the ‘wp_cache_get_cookies_values’ cacheaction to modify the cache key with the user agent.

UPDATE: it worked just because the pages weren’t already cached…
Now the problem for me is how to use the hooks in super cache… any good tutorial around :-)?

Turning half on Wp Super Cache isn’t like using Wp-Cache only?

I found out that specifying the User Agents in Super Cache admin panel works for me, without using hooks…

I don’t know if it’s because there’s not too many pages cached, I’m trying again later and reporting back…

I finally soved the problem by inserting rewrite rules on the .htaccess files. But You have to enter them twice! So That was my error 🙂
