[resolved] [Plugin: WP Super Cache] WP Super cache does not deliver Lazyest Gallery folders (4 posts)

The Lazyest Gallery (LG) image plugin uses a URI like http://brimosoft.nl/gallery/?file=folder_2/

Strange enough, when I activate WP super cache, this page will not be delivered for some os/browser combinations. e.g. winxp/ie6 fails but vista/ie7 succeeds.

I have tried to prevent caching of LG pages by entering the string ?file= but that results in an error:

Warning: preg_match() [function.preg-match]: Compilation failed: nothing to repeat at offset 0 in /home/brimosof/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wp-super-cache/wp-cache-phase2.php on line 67

You need to disable the supercache part of the plugin because the ? in the url will not work with the static html files.

I'll change the permalink structure for Lazyest Gallery also. More people could run into this problem without even knowing it, because it only appers with some browsers.

    I just installed supercache
    I am using Lazyest Gallery

I am not using [lg-gallery] but only [lg_folder folder="/drawings" cols="2" ] and the like. So far even the slideshow with ? in the URL is being cached!

And the cached pages are working in IE7, FF3, Opera9 and Chrome!

So I am one very happy camper.

I sacrificed Bad Behavior to install Supercache on full and I am very pleased with the resulting speed for this site that contains many large image files. (I also have compression on)

On Browsershots, the site displayed on all the common browsers but not IE6 (IE5.5 worked, though!) Folks using IE6 must be getting used to more and more broken sites - they likely think that's just the way the web is.
