[Resolved] [Plugin: WP Super Cache] WP Super Cache and Pingdom

    @a_johnson

    I have WP Super Cache enabled but am confused about the sites’ behavior on tools.pingdom.com.

    In view source, I see the WP Super Cache comments in the footer. Somewhere I saw a reference to comments are supposed to be in the header too but they are not there. The site does load faster so I assume that it is working.

    However, when I go to tools.pingdom.com, each page element loads separately like WP Super Cache isn’t active. Can someone explain this to me?

    Thanks.

  • That’s how it’s supposed to work. The tool there loads everything on your page, graphics, css, js, etc.

    Thank you for the confirmation. I thought something was wrong. 😀

    Is there a way to make Pingdom report that the site is up and working?

    Since I activated Wp Super Cache according to Pingdom the site is down. Is there some kind of solution to this?
    Thanks!

    PS: Pingdom user agent is set to connect to domain root (http://domain.tld) and gets a 403 error. It looks like this:
    Pingdom.com_bot_version_1.4_(http://www.pingdom.com/)
