[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Site down after trying te remove plugin

    Hy,

    I was trying to uninstall WP Super Cache. It seemed to make some posts disappear en appear again and I was trying to figure out the problem and after following the uninstall instructions and clicking ‘deactivate’, the site went down.

    Apparently, all the content in the wp-content folder was deleted. In the wordpress admin panel I can still see all my posts (thank god ;)), but the plugins are all gone.

    Also, the backup I made yesterday was deleted. (what a day…)

    Now I’m a complete novice at wordpress and everything, but I’m trying hard to learn how to deal with it. Does anybody know what I did wrong and knows what I have to do to get the site back up?

    My mistake!

    I turned permission fot wp-content to 644. After turning it to 755 plugins wnt back up but I had to activate them all.

    I’m still wondering if WP Super cache can make posts appear en disappear? Anyone?]

    many things are possible… did you fix your problem? are all your posts visible again?
    if not, do what most of us do, keep a handy backup of your database and site files, then in case of emergency, restore them!

    Posts still disappear. After reading other posts on the forum I’m almost certain it’s an error in the database. Just repared it and know waiting if it will work.
