# [Plugin: WP Super Cache] Optimal settings?

 * Hi!
    I’ve just tried tweaking arounda smuch as I can in wp-super-cache, but I
   would like the best performance possible. I am currently running my blog on a
   Baby account (shared hosting) at Hostgator and they support the compression thingy.
 * Which would be the best settings (please type them all – as I know nothing about
   this!)
 * Highly appreciated.

 * Regarding the “preload cache” – the configuration page states:
 * “Preloading creates lots of files however. Caching is done from the newest post
   to the oldest so please consider only caching the newest if you have lots (10,000
   +) of posts.”
 * How do you set it to generate preloading for only the “newest” posts?

 * It already caches the newest posts! I didn’t answer this thread because I thought
   that was self evident when reading that line.
 * It starts by caching the newest post, then the next newest, then the next, etc
   until it gets to the oldest.
