• I have a WP site that contains very little info, none of which will be updated very often. The theme feeds the pages all from the home page, so only index.php loads.

I have enabled Super Cache with mod_rewrite, compression, and other recommended settings; and I can see the Super Cache comments at the bottom of the page, but there’s nothing under wp-content/cache/supercache/.

I presume this is because Super Cache’s default configuration does not cache index.php. Is the correct approach for me to remove the line “index\.php” from the “Strings” advanced configuration?

  • You can try that but that shouldn’t stop your site being cached unless every URL had index.php in it. I think removing the index.php may cause other problems, but I can’t remember what they were right now.
