Multisite Clearing All Cache On Post (6 posts)

    Hi,

We have a problem with SuperCache clearing all cache files for all blogs on our multisite install when anyone posts, I've made sure that the "Clear all cache files when a post or page is published or updated." is unticked globally, and checked it on other blogs to concur. $wp_cache_clear_on_post_edit = 0; is also set in wp-cache-config.php. Am I missing something or is this default behaviour? Pages are only currently caching for a few seconds between people posting.

I'm not overly bothered as we cache with Varnish too, but I find caching with Super Cache first makes the pages a lot faster and is also a backup if the Varnish cache is cleared.

    Cheers,

    Ed

That's strange. Can you try the debug log in the plugin? It may tell you why it's happening. Does it happen when posting on any blog or just a particular one?

    Hi Donncha,

It's happening when any blog posts, not just a specific one. I'll enable debugging and get back to you asap.

    Cheers,

    Ed

Ok, this is very strange. I enabled the debug mode and it stopped doing it, then disabled the debug mode and it's still not removing them anymore. I will keep an eye on it, but it's kept them for over 10 minutes so far, usually it was around 30 seconds or so.

Although it appears that any admin can clear ALL cache files using the delete cache menu button.
