I was checking out my site today with YSLOW and noticed that none of the js, html, or CSS files were being minified. So I have spent the last hour look at different methods of minifying in WorkdPress. I have found a plug-in that looks like it will do the job, but I am worried about the extra CPU usage of having to run this on every page load. I also don’t know if it will work with WP Super Cache.
Then I came across this plug-in.
So my question is, has anyone else tried this out and does it work? Also have the WP Super Cache developers considered building this in? It would make our lives so much easier if we didn’t have to re modify Super Cache every time there was an update. Also I don’t think anyone would complain about having files automatically minified. An even bigger bonus would be if they could figure out how to minify external JS, and CSS and save it as part of the cache.
I love this plug in and I think you guys are doing a great job.
