[Plugin: WP Super Cache] if i update will the updates be served? or old cache?

  • Hi, I am totally not familiar with caching and all that, I understand slightly what it is but not how it all operates. i found this on some wp super cache page saying

If you have compression enabled it is no longer possible to determine which cache the page was served from without looking at the page headers. Pages served from the WP-Cache “half on” cache will have an extra header.

so i see, no longer possible to determine which cache the page was served from. and that makes me think if i were to modify a page or post, that it may not show up on the site, because old cache files are being served?? this sounds almost impossible but i have to ask..
    thank you

No, when updates are made the right cache files are updated. That should read, “it is no longer possible for you, the visitor to the site, to determine which cache ….”
You have to look at the http headers to figure it out.
