# [Plugin: WP Super Cache] "Extra homepage checks" setting

 * Just curious about this setting. What are the “checks” for? Is this related to
   the homepage bug setting in the Debug tab? If I never had that problem can I 
   disable this safely?

 * They are related to that and I recommend they’re switched on. Once in a blue 
   moon my front page is not the right one (last time it happened was several weeks
   ago during testing, nothing since) so that’s why I recommend leaving it on.
 * Sometimes if your WordPres install is slightly unusual these checks stop the 
   front page caching all the time but that’s an easy to spot occurrence.
