    Getting this message.

    Error: Your cache directory ($cache_path) did not exist and couldn’t be created by the web server. Check permissions.

    The host is also puzzled.

    Site has ????? all on the header. Appreciate any help.

    There’s a bug in that message, it should show the actual path which is probably wp-content/cache/. Make sure your server can write to wp-content/
