[Plugin: WP Super Cache] Directly-cached files give 403s after commenting (3 posts)

    I'm testing out 0.9 on WPMU 2.7.

I'm able to cache files directly but when I try to submit a comment on a directly-cached page, I get:

    Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /my-directly-cached-page/ on this server.

Removing the page from the direct cache makes the comment submission work again.

    Any ideas?

Actually- any anchor link on the directly-cached page back to it (e.g. /my-directly-cached-page/#comments) leads to a 403 error

    Thanks, JShare -

    You get anywhere with this?

It's not only after commenting, but any request for a URL "up the line" from the directly cached page is 403.

Last week, I'd directly-cached the following as the post was on its way to the Number 1 spot on Digg:

    http://trueslant.com/jeffkoyen/2009/06/23/duped-newscast-airs-lost-scene-as-flight-447s-last-moments/

direct-cache worked nicely, but no one could get to Jeff's home page anymore:

    http://trueslant.com/jeffkoyen/

so we had no "upsell" opportunities to promote the rest of Jeff's stuff.

We cannot be the only ones who'd like to have our cake (direct-cache) and eat it, too (still allow upstream resources to be available).

I'll keep looking through these fora.
