  • “Cached dynamic pages can now be stored in Supercache files and compressed.”

What does this mean? Aren’t all pages in WordPress dynamic and stored in Super Cache and compressed?

I’m using mod_rewrite and compress pages. And “don’t cache for known users”.

My problem is that there are hundreds of wp-contents/cache/xyz.html and wp-contents/cache/meta/xyz.meta files. Will the new update fix this? Since I’m using super cache these files shouldn’t be there, right? Everything should be in the supercache folder.

Pages that use dynamic code (see the FAQ) used to be stored as “legacy” cached files, the wp-cache*.html and meta files.

Now they can be stored as Supercache files in the wp-content/cache/supercache/HOSTNAME/ directory!
