Support » Plugins and Hacks » [Plugin: WP Super Cache] cache is not cleared when using feedwordpress

  • Hi Donncha,

I am using the feedwordpress plugin (on this website) and I want to have the cache cleared (well, only the homepage, but I know that is not yet possible) when new posts are published.

For some reason, when I “manually” publish or update a post – the cache is cleared fine.

But when a new post is published through the feedwordpress plugin, the cache is not cleared (serving the old homepage cache).

    Any solutions?

    Thanks.

  • Use the debug system in the plugin to find out what happens when a post is made by FeedWordPress. Maybe that plugin isn’t running the usual WordPress action.

It may also be an unfortunate optimization in Supercache that only uses legacy caching when clearing out cache files if there’s a GET parameter..

Give the development version a go (download here) as I changed a restriction on clearing the cache that may have caused this problem.

    Hi Donncha,
I just wanted to update you that this patch fixed the “clear cache” problem.
And also that the green colors on the test looks good 🙂

    With regards,
    Tal
