Thank you all for your feedback and suggestions, some really good stuff in there. As a few of you know, I’ve been busy with launching a startup based on WordPress ( http://www.happytables.com ), so I’ve been unavailable while that was being handled. Now that the storm has calmed slightly, I’d like to provide an update on this plugin.

I’ve gone through all the posts and will confirm roadmap items here:

    – Project or Campaign related Donations (with Donation Targets, i.e. $1000) & progress bar.
    – Option of Fixed amounts (i.e. like a portfolio of products with fixed prices).
    – Recurring Payments (likely with a setup fee at a later stage)
    – Customer Name & Description not being passed to Stripe
    – Make Donation Information Optional
    – Confirmation E-mail

To confirm some of the things I will not do:

    – Store personal information retrieved from Stripe on the WP install.
    – Create additional tables (everything will continue to be handled by custom post types).

I will try to release an update in the coming days, so stay tuned!

    Cheers

    Noel

WP-Stripe updated to 1.4, bunch of enhancements and tested for 3.4. Projects ready soon.

great progress. i arrived at this thread seeking Stripe Recurring Payments (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-wp-stripe-recurring-payments?replies=13)

aside from testing- i’m available to help w/ some coding. let me know if there’s anyway i can help.

Just curious on the “Confirmation Email” feature

    1) Might it be coming soon?
    2) Is the confirmation to the person donating, or to account holder?

I have a client who would like to have email notification when someone donates.

The possibility is there now. You would just need to hook into the successful charge action (see FAQ) with a wp_mail() function.

    Hi Noel,

I like your plugin, very clean and works well. I read above that you were planning for these new features I have listed and you mentioned you were pretty close several months ago. Are you still working on it, do you still have plans to release an update with these listed features? If so, how long do you expect it will take?

    – Project or Campaign related Donations (with Donation Targets, i.e. $1000) & progress bar.
    – Option of Fixed amounts (i.e. like a portfolio of products with fixed prices).
    – Confirmation E-mail

    Thanks!

    Hi Noel,

I’m looking to try using Stripe for the first time, as well as WP Stripe.

I have just updated my WordPress to 3.5.
Can you tell me whether I can use the most recent version of WP stripe (1.4.6) with WP 3.5 ?

    Thank you

    ~ Oded

I just installed it (thanks Noel Tock!) for testing on a 3.5 site. Getting a persistent progress bar. Used [wp-stripe] on a page, clicked the link, got the progress box. That was a couple of minutes ago.

What is it about 3.5 that’s breaking so many widgets and themes? Sheesh.

    Thanks for sharing judic.

    Happy New Year

Ok, tried a different browser and it does work on test mode. I did a charge of $15 to account #4242 4242 4242 4242 and I got a success message.

However, the success message is in the original javascript box with no obvious way to close that box. Hitting escape worked, but now I’ll have to put a note in my page about that.

    Good news that it works.
