Great plugin. When I switched my site live after having migrated it from another CMS, I immediately got hit with literally hundreds of spam comments (s.th. I was afraid of because I have managed to secure a few top spots in Google). It was only after I installed this plugin that all the cr*p got nuked. With all the Akismet and other plugins I had to trudge through I don’t know how many pages of mile-long spam comments to see if one was a legitimate comment.

    So, thanks!

Just one thing: Is there anywhere I could see what got nuked by this plugin?. Not that I really need to, but in the first two or three weeks of a site’s online time it would be nice to see if legitimate stuff gets/got nuked.

Hey deus62. Thanks for the positive feedback. Yes, I’m working on adding an optional logging feature for a future release. Just to put your mind at ease, on all our test blogs, we have a modified version of the plugin for debugging that logs every comment submitted, spam or not, including trackbacks and pingbacks, so I can see how well it’s doing and make tweaks if necessary. I’ve had a few requests now for the logging feature, and it’s definitely a good idea. Also, just to clarify, nothing is deleted – it’s blocked at the time of submission, and if a comment is blocked, the user is informed, with a brief message letting them know what they need to do.

    Great!
    Thanks for the reply.
My mind’s at ease now. 🙂

A logging feature is definitely something I#d vote for too.

    Keep up the good work!

Hi, would you add auto killing Trackback/pingback spams, as requested earlier in my review post of WP-SpamFree and in the comments on your blog.

Hey Rok…just recently added Trackback and Pingback Spam protection.
