[Resolved] [Plugin: WP SlimStat] 404 error in WP Slimstat list of visitors and IP filter

  • I installed the plugin, so far it seems to me that it is working fine. I see my visitors, the referals, ip adresses, countries and everything that I need.

However, the list of visitors always includes the line under each of them:
    404: /wp-content/plugins/wp-slimstat/wp-slimstat-js.php

What does this mean? Is there something wrong? I guess this refers to 404 error?

And another question, how to filter out certain ip adress? I read the instructions: “List all the IP addresses you don’t want to track, separated by commas. Each network must be defined using the CIDR notation (i.e. 192.168.0.0/24). If the format is incorrect, WP SlimStat may not track pageviews properly.”

I don’t really get this CIDR notation, can i just put an ip there?

    Thanks

  • I noticed other issues. I’m afraid that this plugin sometimes gives wrong info about visited pages (lists pages that I didn’t click) and it has some problems with Firefox

    1. if you’re getting that 404 error there’s something wrong in your configuration, WP SlimStat is not being able to access one of the files needed to track pageviews

    2. yes, you can specify an IP address as 127.0.0.1/32 (add /32 at the end)

    3. please read the FAQs where it explains what ‘phantom’ visits are and what prefetching is (firefox)

A vote for my plugin would be a nice way to say thank you!

    Cheers,
    Camu
