# [Plugin: WP-PostViews] Loading time affected

 * Hi,
    I have made some tests and I discovered that this plugin affects the load
   time of the page. Without the plugin the page loads 1 second faster (obviously
   depends on server). I think the problem is in the accesses to the database. There
   isn’t some way to optimize the queries? I have used some others simple plugins
   of post count and they were faster (but more simple). It’s just a suggestion.

 * WP-PostViews is already optimized as it is using WordPress API add_post_meta(),
   update_post_meta() to count the views. Only the most viewed function is heavy.
