[Plugin: WP-Paginate] 404 error after first two paginations

I’m using the plugin to provide pagination through posts in a category. It’s kind of working – I see the links representing the 11 posts in the category and can click on them. Clicking number 1 goes to category/fashion1/, and clicking number 2 goes to category/fashion1/page/2/, but clicking number 3 or higher gives me a 404 error.
