• Terrific plugin!

I’ve found it to be very similar to Meteor Slides, but better. Even the name is in the same context!

I’ve made a locale for Brazilian portuguese which is located here:
    http://www.mediafire.com/?cx5kbepn8xzabbz

I would appreciate if you merge it in the upstream. ^_^

There are two duplicated lines in the locale file: 93 and 113.

This sentence is not appearing for translation:
“As default, the slides are 540×450 but are responsive. If your slide needs to be larger or a different ratio, add_image_size in your functions.php – name the size: orbit-custom and select it from below. In all cases, the slider will fill stretch to the div that surrounds it.”

And so “Add New Slide” and “Slide Categories” from menu.

That’s it! Keep the awesome work!

I will also suggest to change the plugin’s name to just “Orbit Slider”.

“WP” prefixed sounds redundant and generic.

“Orbit Slider” will stick better in peoples minds!

    One more thing.

I think that the slider ratio is very unusual, at this time of web development. I’ve checked the original plugin, from Zurb, and the 940×450 is a much efficient size.

Not being able to change the size/ratio in the plugin settings and only through functions.php is a bit of a minor letdown.

Hope you can come with something to fix this issue!

    Hey Raphael,
Great to read this thread this morning 🙂
Super thanks for the translation. Will look into the missing strings.

As for prefix, hmmmmm, yeah, the WP a bit lame, was unsure whether I could just use Orbit Slider outright.

As for ratio, i was concerned about using that ratio…
Some would be placing slider inside posts/pages and although a great ratio for a bold looking header, not so good inside a post.
I too want better image control in admin. My only option at the time would have been to create various add_image_size’s based on different ratios. This isn’t best practice. I’m looking into it.

New features very soon. Will also include better script loading and a new skin for the slider 🙂

    Really appreciate the positive feedback/help!
